Meet Our Attorneys
Hello, my name is Richelle Amat, and thank you for taking the time to read my biography. I am a Florida Native, born and raised right here in Orlando, Florida. I pursued my Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida (Go Knights!) and then went on to graduate from Barry University School of Law, where I earned my Juris Doctor degree.
As a daughter to Cuban parents who fled from the oppressive regime of their country to pursue freedom here in the states, I have always felt a strong passion for defending those who could not adequately defend themselves or even have their voices heard.
Having zero tolerance for injustice in any form, it comes to no surprise that my only career choice has always been law and the desire to become a fierce advocate for those who need it the most.
Growing up, I always watched and admired how hard both of my parents worked and still, to this day, continue to perform hands-on physical labor in their respective businesses. In my eyes, workers/employees are the backbone of our nation and deserve the utmost care and aggressive legal advocacy in defending their rights after a work-related injury.
Unfortunately, the current Workers Compensation laws in Florida are not as tailored to the injured worker as they are to the insurance companies and employers. Injured workers should never have to fear potential negative repercussions in obtaining the benefits they are rightfully entitled to. Profits should never come before any worker or person for that matter. Practices such as unsafe work environments, not making injury claims to insurance companies, or threatening to terminate or even deport certain workers if they pursue their benefits is unacceptable and atrocious. This is why I take pride in protecting the rights of injured workers and reassuring them that their voices can and will be heard.
Attorney Dan Newlin gave me the privilege to be a part of his amazing legal team, and for that, I will forever be grateful. He provided me the opportunity and platform to assist and serve as many injured individuals as I could have ever imagined. Parallel to some of our firm’s core values, I will always maintain compassion, empathy, and understanding of your specific needs while simultaneously providing zealous representation against the insurance companies.
It would not only be a pleasure, but an honor to represent you. Please feel free to contact me at (407) 794-0457 or email me at [email protected]. Thank you.
