Meet Our Attorneys
Hello, my name is William A Harris, and I appreciate you taking the time to read my biography. I was born and raised in Marion County, Florida, and attended public school. In addition to the many thousands of hours studying, coming up I spent many days and evenings working on the family farm. I developed a sincere and deep appreciation for hard work and all persons that engage in physical labor for a living.
After completing high school, I attended Central Florida Community College and then the University of Florida. In 2001, I graduated from the University of Maryland School of Law in Baltimore, Maryland and began working at a law firm in Melbourne, Florida practicing in areas of personal injury, criminal defense, eminent domain, and homeowner’s association representation.
After several years in private practice, I returned to my hometown of Ocala, Florida, and began working as an Assistant State Attorney. In my capacity as a prosecuting attorney, I have handled thousands of cases ranging from misdemeanors to serious felony offenses, always focusing on obtaining justice for victims. My time representing the citizens of the State of Florida was a tremendous honor, and I am equally honored to have joined Dan Newlin Injury Attorneys, which has permitted me to continue to seek justice for injured clients.
I am currently the President of the Marion County Bar Association and proudly serve on several professionalism committees in the Fifth Judicial Circuit. In my free time, I enjoy fishing, hunting, and cattle ranching. If you have any questions or want to discuss a potential claim, please email me at [email protected] or call me at (407) 845-1811.
