About Dan Newlin
In a nutshell, my passion has always been in public service. At the age of 18 I was working my first job as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) for the City of New Chicago, Indiana. I was only on the job for 6 months, when I was in the back of an ambulance delivering a baby. I went on to become a police officer in New Chicago; and after battling frost bite for a few years, I accepted a position as Deputy Sheriff with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. During my time there I was assigned to the Patrol Division, Fugitive Division and Tourist Policing Division; I received numerous awards and honors, which I am very proud of today.
While working full time for the Sheriff, I returned to college at night and earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. I went on to attend Florida State Law School, where I obtained my Law Degree. Sheriff Kevin Beary was kind enough to keep me employed as a Deputy Sheriff while I attended law school, and to this day I am so thankful that he made this exception.
“I have recovered over 150 Million Dollars for accident and injury victims and have represented over 10,000 people from all over the state of Florida.
