Hello, my name is Maxwell Karrick. Thank you for visiting my biography. I grew up in South Florida, and from a young age, I had told everyone who would listen that I would grow up and be an attorney. So, after concluding my football career with Florida Atlantic University, where I earned Presidential Honors academically and athletically, I moved to Central Florida to pursue a legal career. I have called Central Florida home for over a decade and feel a special bond with the area and the people who live here.
I began my legal career as a prosecutor in Orange and Osceola counties, where I tirelessly advocated on behalf of the victims of violent domestic and sexual crimes. There, I gained crucial trial experience trying well over forty cases to jury verdict.
I then left the State Attorney’s office and worked for the largest insurance defense firm in the State of Florida, having had the privilege of representing some of the largest insurance carriers in the country in cases involving catastrophic loss, injury, and death. I learned how insurance companies approach and evaluate cases, which has proven invaluable in my current position.
Despite successfully defending the interests of Big Insurance in state and Federal Courts, I felt the constant need to return to serving my neighbors in Central Florida, who had been victimized by the negligence of others. I have done just that ever since, representing hundreds of Floridians throughout the state, injured by no fault of their own. I have handled cases involving auto crashes, store negligence and general injury, but have specialized in cases of negligent security, where a property owner failed to protect those on its property and a serious injury resulted. I am a bona fide Trial Attorney who is not scared to take your case the distance.
